Full USHPA P2 Certification Course

Are you ready to learn to fly on your own? PGSF is one of the oldest paragliding schools in the Bay Area and we are proud to have more happy customers and positive reviews across all platforms, than any other flight school. 

After completing this training program you will be issued your USHPA (US Hang Gliding and Paragliding Association) P2 paraglider rating which certifies you to fly at thousands of sites around the world without instructor supervision. 

The P2 Certification training typically takes 10-15 days. Occasionally more time and training may be required depending on the weather conditions and the individual. The price of your training covers unlimited lessons and coaching for life. 

What’s included:

• All training equipment.*
• A minimum of 35 flights. (When the weather is good it’s common to get many flights in one day.)
• Lessons are in small groups of 4 students or less.  
• Ground school topics covering flight dynamics, weather, equipment, risk management, etc.
• Advancing P3 and P4 ratings at no charge when you have met the requirements.
• Unlimited mentoring for life after course completion.

 *All equipment is provided for the first 15 days of training. We encourage you to purchase your own equipment as soon as possible.  By having your own equipment you’ll be able to go out and practice “kiting” whenever you like and by having your own glider early in your training program you’ll get lot’s of practice on the actual glider that you will be flying while you’re still under instructor supervision! If you haven’t completed your P2 rating or purchased your own equipment by the 15th lesson you are welcome to continue to use school gear for a rental fee of $50 per day. We also recommend that you purchase your own helmet as soon as possible.
